Our Story.

Schubert & Friends was born out of the path that brought Kai Schubert into the Wine World: The fascination with the diversity of wine, that ultimately led him and his partner Marion Deimling to establish Schubert Wines in Martinborough in 1998.

Since the beginning, their credo was to produce wines of uncompromising quality, that would stand out alongside the finest in the world, and so the thought of bringing their friends' top quality wines to New Zealand was not far.

 The wines imported are from artisan, super-premium producers, that have long-lasting friendships with both, Kai and Marion.
